Marshall pschology students head to Europe

Five students from Marshall University will be traveling to Europe as part of a new study abroad program. This past summer, Marshall University President Kopp signed the Atlantis Program into agreement. The program is a duel-degree program for psychology students in which a group of students will study for 10 months at the Warsaw School of Social Psychology in Warsaw, Poland, and the University of Debrecen in Budapest, Hungary, Joseph Wyatt, professor of psychology and director of the Atlantis Program, said.

Blood drive falls short

American Red Cross was on campus this week conducting an emergency blood drive Tuesday and Wednesday due to a Huntington area blood shortage. Red Cross has been teaming up with the Marshall University and hosting blood drives on campus for more than 25 years.

Meteorologist Mark Pellerito of the National Weather Service in Charleston said two cold fronts are going to bring in arctic air that will usher in two different days of weather.

Updated Student Handbooks

BY WHITNEY JOHNSON The Parthenon Updates to the Student Handbook are expected to be complete within the next few weeks after several items have been changed, including the appeals process and the definition of fighting. Information in the Student Handbook quickly becomes out of date and incorrect, said Steve Hensley, dean of Student Affairs.
