Over 50,000 pounds aniline were spilled in an incident near Marshall University's campus, leading to the injury of one factory worker, according the Associated Press.

A shelter-in-place order was also issued for Third Avenue and Fifth Avenue between 24th Street and 26th Street and, according to a notice posted by Marshall University. The shelter in place was lifted by noon.

"The injured worker was decontaminated on site, and then transferred to St. Mary's Medical Center for evaluation," said Huntington Fire Chief Provaznik.

Flint Group Pigments, the company transporting the chemicals, was contacted repeatedly, but no representative of the company made any comment beyond that they were aware of the situation. The Parthenon has received no press release at this time.
