Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley and special guest Thomas Rhett will perform at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena as part of the “Locked and Reloaded” tour.

Stephanie Thompson, senior elementary education major, said she has seen Lambert twice and is excited to see her again Saturday.

“I wanted to go to another concert because she never fails to put on a better performance than I had expected,” Thompson said.

Lambert has been rising in the country music community. In 2012, Lambert won Female Vocalist of the Year and her song “Over You” won Song of the Year.

As a performer and as a writer for “Over You,” Lambert is up for Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year and Song of the Year.

Being relatable to fans is something Thompson said she likes the most about Lambert’s music.

“‘House That Built Me’ is a song that expresses exactly how I feel about my home,” Thompson said. “I can hardly listen to it without tearing up.”

Danielle Ferguson, junior English education major, said she is looking forward to seeing Lambert again after seeing her in Charleston, W.Va. last year.

Ferguson said she loves Lambert’s music because it relates to her life.

“I just really love country music and ‘Heart Like Mine’ is one of my very favorites,” Ferguson said, “There’s just something that relates to me every time I hear it.”

Lambert and Bentley recently performed together at the Grammy Awards and were both nominated for awards. Lambert was nominated for Country Artist of the Year and Bentley was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance.

Ferguson said she is excited to see Bentley perform because she has never seen him in concert before.

“‘Am I the Only One’ is my favorite Dierks Bentley song because I am always down to have a good time and a lot of my friends always have other plans, work or something,” Ferguson said.

Bentley recently received nominations for Single of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.

Tickets are still available, and Thomas Rhett will kick off the show at 7:30 p.m.
