Governor Joe Manchin visited Marshall's campus to sign a bill, the first of its kind, to aid families of children with autism Tuesday. Senate Bill 1009 awards a tax deduction of up to $2,000 per year for families of children with autism when they contribute to a trust fund established for when the children become adults.
The Youth Soccer Region I National Tournament is coming to town and will boost the community's economy and reputation, making it one of the biggest events to hit West Virginia. The tournament is expected to make a $12 million economic impact from Ashland to Charleston.
Actress Carrie Preston did not know what to think when producer Alan Ball approached her about playing the role of Arlene Fowler in the TV series "True Blood."
