Campus Crusade for Christ, a nondenominational organization, will be hosting Soularium, at Marshall University Wednesday and Thursday.
"We want to study how culture changes and how people's ideas of God change shape over time," said Gerhard Esterhuizen, Campus Crusade staff.
Soularium is a national survey comprised of pictures and questions.
The questions include: which of these pictures describe your state of mind?, which of these pictures describe what God is?, in order to understand the spiritual beliefs on campus, Esterhuizen said.
"I think it a good idea and a creative way to allow people to express their religious beliefs," Esterhuizen said. "It will help us to better understand the spiritual climate of Marshall's campus. It's just a creative way to talk to people about God."
The survey appeals to the more artistic nature and creative nature and is a creative way for students to express themselves, Esterhuizen said.
"I figure it will be a great opportunity for Crusade because it will allow people to talk about their faith," Esterhuizen said. "For the people taking the survey, it will allow them to creatively think, process and talk about their ethics a lot."
The survey will allow students to talk about things they would normally be unable to, Esterhuizen said.
"What matters most, though, is students will have someone who will listen to their opinions about life, God and anything else that is important," Esterhuizen said.
Soularium will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Memorial Student Center.
