Post partum depression is something many new mothers experience.

The psychology department implemented a new program in response to the issue.

The Baby Blues program will help new mothers to alleviate the symptoms for new mothers.

Educating expecting mothers about the symptoms and how to avoid, minimize or alleviate them is the department's way of making the first few weeks after childbirth easier for mothers and children.

The program will also teach mothers how to maintain a positive mood and attitude with their children even when they do not get adequate sleep.

Information about immunizations and vaccines will be shared with the members of the program as well.

The program provides the mothers and their families with information that will ensure close and healthy relationships.

The effects on the family relationships of the program can be beneficial and lasting.
